He is the long-time clown host of Bart and Lisa's favorite TV show. Krusty the Clown, born Herschel Krustofski, is the son of Rabbi Hyman Krustofski. Hyman strongly opposed Krusty's wish to become a clown and make people laugh. However, Krusty performed slapstick comedy behind his father's back.
